Disabled car park is right opposite the entry gates.
Coaches will be met at their pre-booked arrival time.
From the main car park it is a short walk across a field to the entrance and ticket office. Well behaved and family friendly dogs are very welcome, provided they are on a lead at all times.
We have a marquee serving hot drinks, homemade cakes, homemade soup and a selection of light lunches. Please remember that you are visiting a garden with snowdrops and winter flowering shrubs that offers refreshments, not a restaurant with a garden!
We have a gift shop where the products have been designed by Deborah Puxley and made in the United Kingdom and are exclusive to Welford Park. We also offer an opportunity for local craftsman and artists to display their work - as long as there is a snowdrop.
You are visiting a woodland garden and therefore it is recommended you wear sturdy shoes/boots and suitable outdoor clothing to keep you warm and dry.
Please make sure your children are safe at all times, we have a deep fast flowing river. But there are large expanses of lawns and woodland paths for them to play and explore. Children particularly enjoy the bamboo walk.
We have done our best to provide a wheelchair friendly route which will be signposted and the ticket office will be happy to point out, but we suggest you avoid the wood chip paths.
It is worth mentioning that most people seem to arrive between 11 and 12 and this is when you will find queues.
If you delay your arrival until later, your entrance experience will be better and the tea tent is usually much quieter in the afternoons.
All our employees are paid and loved and we take the slavery laws very seriously. If there are young children working in the tea tent it is because one of their parents are working here or they live here.
We offer work experience and work opportunities and are very inclusive in our employment.
